About CrossFit Portland
CrossFit Portland is one of the original national affiliates and the first CrossFit facility in Oregon. Established by Scott Hagnas in March of 2005, the gym was located at the corner of SE 21st and Powell in southeast Portland. Starting with just a 400 sqft training room and plenty of creativity, CrossFit Portland quickly drew committed individuals who were tired of generic globo gyms and were looking for real results. In June of 2008, CrossFit Portland made its first expansion and moved to its current location on 740 N. Russell Street.
Today, CrossFit Portland is owned by Scott, Rochelle Hagnas, and Xi Xia who are all trainers as well. We offer practical, experienced instruction in CrossFit, Circular Strength Training, clubbells, kettlebells, nutrition, Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics, speed and agility, and post rehab/prehab joint health and mobility. We offer challenges that popular culture and urban myth would have you believe are dangerous, or unnecessary for health and fitness, or just plain impossible for you. Through these methods, we provide our clients results that they rarely, if ever, have received from other gyms and programs.
Scott, Rochelle, and Xi Xia, owners of CrossFit Portland. Interesting story about the squat rack we are standing infront of. It is the first piece of equipment from the original affiliate #1, CrossFit North, when it was just running out of Dave Werner’s garage. Many feats of strength performed on this squat rack, including a certain bar muscle-up from famed kettlebell coach Pavel Tsatsouline.

Parkour is the art of overcoming obstacles as swiftly and efficiently as possible using only your body. The fundamentals include running, jumping, and climbing. We build on these fundamentals to improve our ability to pass over, under, around and through obstacles with more complex movements.
