RAW POWER PART DEUX: Condensed and Intense

Posted on 28th August by BradR. No Comments

September 9th a second round of Raw Power will be available for another group of eight athletes. Register here. Your membership must allow you to attend the gym at least three times per week.

I’ll hold an information session to learn some techniques for lifting and further explain the class for free/open attendance at 11am on Sunday, September 2nd.

Email me, brobertson59401@gmail.com, if you will be attending the information session.

Summarily, Raw Power is a strict lifting class which focuses on technique and increasing strength in the dead lift, strict press, back squat and bench press.

Candidly, Raw Power is an ass-kicker and I want people to get to painfully uncomfortable strains on their muscles and try to break through some mental barriers to get stronger.

This is a class open for any athlete beyond Jump Start that wants a focused regimen to increase overall strength.

If you’re looking for results, I’d encourage you to speak with athletes from the first class (Bjorn, Gloria, Jill, Stacey, Greg, and Dean). In the first round of Raw Power every class member PR’d multiple times by significant weights in nearly every lift, but who says sequels can’t be better?

This round of Raw Power will run for four weeks (instead of five) and will consist of two coached classes each week, and one session of work to be completed on your own time. The one day of individual work will be tailored to the athlete’s desired strength focus. Also, Brent S. (strong man, gym member and power lifting encyclopedia) will likely assist with coaching on occasion.

Class times are Sundays at 9am, and Tuesdays at 630pm, starting Sunday September 9th and ending Tuesday October 2nd.

Raw Power is limited to 8 participants. This class is currently being offered at no additional cost, and will be available to those only that can commit to the four week cycle.

If you have any questions, feel free to chat with me at the gym or drop me an email.
