What an awesome CrossFit weekend! We kicked it off this Friday with the conclusion of the Murph Challenge. Congratulations to everyone that attended and finished what they started. On Saturday, the CrossFit Nutrition semianr by Robb Wolf was in full swing. This is an epic seminar and I highly recommend anyone (not just trainers) to go see it!

When we rolled out the first Murph Challenge back in April, Christine (late fifties, recently started doing full chest-to-deck push ups) finished the workout in 59:58. She had set her goal at 1 hour and she made it. If you don’t know, Murph is a classic CrossFit WOD of run 1 mile, 100 push ups, 200 pull ups, 300 squats, run another mile. The second time around Christine finishes Murph in 47:56, knocking off over 12 minutes from her time. This is an incredible testament to Christine’s ability to overcome not just physical obstacles but mental obstacles.

Monica crushers her previous time of 48:40 and comes in at 40:07!

Karen in the blue shirt also beat her previous time and finished under 40 minutes!

Come on Jay, put a shirt one :)

Somebody has to wear the vest.

Ahh, well prepared.

Katie K. first Half Murph. Next time, the full deal :)

Best Murph facial hair

Come on Mike, you can do one more of anything!!!

Jesper, our Danish explorer, went nuts on Murph. Awesome time. Awesome sweat angle.

    Nice job everyone!!!!
That is an amazing effort by all!
Also nice job on your time improvement, Karen and Christine!!! It’s always inspiring to hear about those who meet their goals!

Thanks Jess….but I felt like a slug all the way through. If I didn’t mention, all the hoots and hollers of encouragements during the experience were well appreciated.

    A little story to share….
On the second mile portion, as I came around the corner, as Jay Trainer passes bye asks, “how’s that vest treating you?” as I am heaving with the intent of projectiling shortly thereafter…it was brutual but hilarious at the same time. Crazy!

    Anyhow, solid performances all around!!!

Great effort by all, Nick, I will wear the weight vest with you next time.

Excellent seminar as well, a ton of good info and Robb presents it very well…funny and engaging so it doesn’t feel like an 8 hour lecture at all.

I want to see this workout in an upcoming Adv. class, saw some guy named Rob Orlando do it in a little over 5 min which is nuts (he also did a 2x king kong)

    21 DL – 300#
    21 HSPU
    15 Thruster – 155#
    15 Pull-ups
    9 Squat cleans – 185#
    9 Ring Dips

Burly…I think I could do this but it would take me awhile.

So are you going to tell us something more about gluten or are you going to leave us in suspense?
