The Carrying Combo
Here is a nasty carrying combo. 6 hang power snatches, carry 100′. 6 cleans, carry 100′. 6 deadlifts, 100′ farmer’s walk. How many rounds in 10 minutes? Check out a random passerby asking me a question about the safety of the squat…. not much of an answer, as I was trying to coach and film. Hopefully the myth that squats damage your knees will die someday!
I can’t take credit for this one. Check out www.physicalsubculture.com. Here is a link to the original workout. I need to get down to Sacramento to visit these guys.

MY FAVORITE COMBO! I’m glad you tried it. Every time I think I have it under control, I throw more weight on everything, and then cry all over again.
Come and down and visit!!
GREAT video! Congrat’s! How many rounds did he complete, though??
p.s…I love our CF coaches for always addressing the exercise myths in a kind, logical way! Hopefully that chap who commented on the squatting will be coming back for some instruction!
Oops… 3 1/2 rounds in 10 minutes.
Hi Chip! Hope to be down your way in the summer. I love this combo; I’ve done it a few times lately myself.
If WOD’s traditionally represent workloads, I’m surprised there aren’t more that require carrying. Steve Justa’s classic mini-tome Rock, Iron, Steel would inspire anyone to start carrying stuff in a number of ways.
