We have had a great week here at CrossFit Portland. We ended it with more Parkour elements and functional movements on the bar besides just pull-ups all the time. I can’t believe how lucky we are to have you wonderful members and all the interest in CrossFit Portland from the neighborhood. Needless to say, I am super stoked about the future :)

We say a sad goodbye to Jamie today. He was in town from Alaska and came to us a week ago. Set a PR deadlift of 345 and got two muscle-ups in a row – never did them before either. We wish Jamie happy travels!

We welcome Ari from CrossFit San Diego. A Navy guy, Ari is in town for a visit so introduce yourselves!

Lael was kicking it hard on the traverses. Way to go Lael! Your baby is super proud of mommy:) Her partner Ted also did his first CrossFit Portland workout, smoked the traverses, and excited to see how he will develop.

Finally, Rochelle made some huge achievements this month. She finally got her CrossFit Level 2 2000K row (8:50 for women). What is so significant about this achievement is you have to factor in her height and bodyweight. At 5′, she is not ideally built at all for rowing. Even more astonishing is that Rochelle held a straddle front lever today while playing around on the rings! Consistency, CrossFit Portland, and you will get results.
