How were you introduced to Crossfit?
I meet XX 5 years ago playing ultimate. Before he was the machine he is now. After he discovered crossfit he would tell me about it, tell me how much fun it was and all that, but I would just think how much I hated going to the gym. At the time I was periodically going to the gym with Kristi, mostly when she would drag me kicking and screaming. At the gym would do a few machines and mostly just wonder around not really knowing what to do? Kristi was going to the gym 4-5 days a week for an hour long spinning class. I hate spinning. Finally after playing on Rhino I realized I needed to get in better shape to compete at that level of play. Kristi and I decided to finally give crossfit a try. We did baseline in August then started on ramp in November.
Favorite WOD/lift:
I like to lift to find my max. Whether its one rep or five reps, I just love to see how heavy I can go. I get pumped when I get my body weight. One of my goals is to get a body weight overhead squat.
I have always wanted to
Go to nationals in Florida for ultimate. After trying out for a few years I finally made it onto the team that has the potential to go.
Last year we placed 5th at Regionals but we needed to get 3rd to get to go.

1 word people use to describe me:
Nice
Outside of the gym I like to
Hang out with Kristi and friends, play Frisbee, and go out to eat, play video games.
Something nobody knows about me or would be surprised to know about me:
I am a huge sci-fi fan.

Favorite physical activity outside of Crossfit:
Ultimate Frisbee, I am addicted, I play every chance I get.
Favorite place to eat in Portland:
My favorite place to eat is at Monteaux’s public house, but that is in Beaverton. My favorite place to eat in PDX would have to be Jake’s Famous Crawfish, it’s a bit spendy but so good.
Song that gets me pumped up for a workout:
Tool – Undertow

Proudest accomplishment:
I guess my muscle up is kind of cool. Moving across the country to a place I had never visited was kind of crazy and the fact that it worked out is pretty sweet.
