Parkour Saturday
Here is a quick video of some Parkour fun from the Wallace Park area in NW Portland. Great fun, and a very functional application of fitness. Nothing too fancy, but keep in mind that this was only the first or second time trying this stuff for any of us. We will be doing more of these in the future!

Parkour is the art of overcoming obstacles as swiftly and efficiently as possible using only your body. The fundamentals include running, jumping, and climbing. We build on these fundamentals to improve our ability to pass over, under, around and through obstacles with more complex movements.

Sweet, and Steely Dan to top it off.
Great stuff! Looks like alot of fun. I am tempted to give that a try sometime.
Hi! My name is Zoran and I’m a practitioner of Parkour here in Portland and a big fan of Crossfit training methods. Crossfit translate very well into Parkour training - it’s a match made in heaven!
There’s a website and a forum for Oregon Parkour, we have around a dozen active members. I that we can learn a lot from you guys and we’ll be happy to share our knowledge of Parkour. We have a jam once or twice a week, sometimes on weekdays but mainly weekends.

And nice form on the vaults! I’ve never heard of Wallace Park, but it seems to have a lot of potential for training. Couch Park and Keller Fountain are also great deals of fun!
