Morning Classes Starting in May
Starting Tuesday, May 1st, CrossFit Portland will finally begin morning classes! Classes will be Tuesday and Friday mornings, 6:30-7:30 am and 7:30-8:30 am. Call Scott at 360-904-0444 for more information.
Free Saturday Group Workout
We’ll be having a long overdue “Suffer on Saturday” style workout on May 5th, at 2 pm. Show up to workout and have fun!

Strongman Day
The weather is finally starting to get nice, and we took advantage of it today. Tire flips, sprints, farmer’s walks, and walking swings were a part of today’s fun.
Swipes
Here is one of my favorite exercises, the swipe. It combines an explosive contraction of the posterior chain during the swing component, followed by an explosive contraction of the “anterior chain” in the cast portion. This develops great core strength, is a potent metabolic stimulus, and needless to say, builds a strong grip.
Going Heavy

You Pick It Tabata Intervals
Pick four or five exercises. Eight rounds of Tabita intervals will be done with each exercise. This was a fun workout. Check out some of the ugly combinations people came up with….
