1) Jog 400m @ 50%; rest 2 min; run 400m 70% effort
2) 4 rounds:
Run 400m @90%+
rest 2-5 minutes.
Try to equal your first round time each round. Btw, the lap around the gym is almost exactly 400 M.
Jess and I are on a plane flying back from the midwest. We can’t wait to return home! Seeing friends and family has been fun but we are missing you all at CrossFit Portland very much. We got a workout in at Windy City CrossFit last Friday (we both PR’ed our lifts!) and did another WOD on the back deck at my house. Eating Paleo has not been easy and we knew it would be hard to consume the protein we have grown accustomed to. So, we brought 6 lbs of frozen beef with us
In case anyone is wondering, bricks of frozen beef do not easily thaw on a cross country plane ride. Yes, it turns out you can bring it with you!
At Windy City CrossFit, I PR’ed my hang power cleans at 195 x 3 and Jess got 100 x 3. I always seem to PR in new environments, when I least expect it, and not planning for it. I highly suggest you take the strength you gain at the gym and go somewhere outside to test it out. You might be surprised at the results!
Have you PR’ed or made gains in fitness when you least expected it?
