POSE Running Programs

Running is a fundamental movement that many people come to dread, either because of the perceived effort or because of injuries and pain. Our attitude is that running should be simple and painless at the very least, and at its best an enjoyable and efficient process.

To that end, Crossfit Portland offers a variety of clinics, workshops, classes and individual coaching for those wanting to improve their running skill. All of our running technique programs are informed by Dr. Nicholas Romanov’s Pose Method of Running.

2 Day POSE Running Intensive
Our 2-Day POSE Running Intensive is a weekend long information-intensive class. The Pose Method of Running is introduced through a mix of lecture, demonstrations and drills.

The lecture components will cover topics beyond basic running form, and will touch on general nutrition, injury prevention and recovery.

In addition, you will have a video assessment done of your running form and lower limb balance.

This clinic will give you the tools to improve your running form regardless of your experience level.

Private Coaching
Running classes are taught by Madoc Yng-Wong. Madoc is a Pose Running Technique Specialist, MovNat Level 2 Trainer, CrossFit Endurance and CrossFit Level 1 trainer, and Poliquin International PICP Level 2 Strength and Conditioning coach.

An avid minimalist runner, Madoc has run the gamut of movement styles, shoes, injuries, and races. He has completed sprint triathlons, half and full marathons, and is currently weighing the folly of a 100 mile Ultramarathon.

Madoc is also available for individual and small group coaching. Contact him for further information
