History Of CrossFit Portland

CrossFit Portland was established by Scott Hagnas in March 2005. We were the first CrossFit in Oregon and one of the first 30 affiliates in the world (there are now more than 3,500!).

Our first location was a humble 400 square-foot training room crammed with a squat rack, barbells and bumper plates, homemade parallel bars, and a lot of heart and passion.

Gym membership and training staff have since grown, and we’ve moved twice, most recently into a 5,600 square-foot facility. Along the way we’ve become one of the most experienced CrossFit gyms in the world.

Our programming encompasses strength, mobility, conditioning, and flexibility. We also offer in-depth nutrition and recovery planning and assistance.

Our mission is to serve as a center of excellence that brings exceptional health and fitness to beginners and athletes alike.
